Questions about the device tests

Is my camera or mic feed recorded?
No. The webcam and microphone tests show the feed back to you in the page and do not record or upload anything.
Do I need to install a driver or app?
No. The tests use the browser's built-in access to your devices, so there is nothing to install.
Why does it ask for camera or mic permission?
The browser has to ask before a page can see your camera or microphone. The test needs that access to show you the feed, and nothing more.
