Everything is worked out in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded or saved anywhere.

Day Clock in Clock out Break (min) Hours
Monday 0.00
Tuesday 0.00
Wednesday 0.00
Thursday 0.00
Friday 0.00
Saturday 0.00
Sunday 0.00
Weekly total 0.00 h

This time card calculator turns your weekly clock in and clock out times into worked hours. Fill in a row for each day from Monday to Sunday, add any unpaid break in minutes, and the daily hours and weekly total update as you type. Overnight shifts are handled correctly, so a clock out that lands after midnight still counts as the same working day.

It doubles as a work hours calculator and a weekly timesheet calculator. Add your hourly rate to see gross pay, and turn on the overtime toggle to pay anything over 40 hours at 1.5x. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing you enter is uploaded or stored. When you are done, download a PDF of the timesheet to file or share.

How it works

  1. 1

    Enter your times

For each day, type the clock in and clock out time. This clock in clock out calculator reads both as 24-hour or AM/PM depending on your device, and works out the minutes between them.

  2. 2

    Subtract breaks

Add unpaid break minutes in the break column. The tool is an hours and minutes calculator with breaks, so it removes that time from each day before totaling the week.

  3. 3

    Add rate and overtime

Enter an hourly rate to see gross pay. Turn on the overtime option to pay hours over 40 in the week at 1.5x, then download the PDF timesheet.

Questions about the time card calculator

How do I calculate work hours from clock in and clock out times?
Enter the clock in and clock out time for each day and the tool subtracts one from the other, minus any unpaid break minutes. It adds the days together for a weekly total, so you get a full work hours calculator without doing the math by hand.
Does this handle overnight shifts where clock out is before clock in?
Yes. When the clock out time is earlier than the clock in time, the calculator treats the shift as crossing midnight and adds 24 hours, so an 8pm to 4am shift counts as 8 hours rather than a negative number.
How does the weekly timesheet calculator handle overtime and breaks?
Break minutes are removed from each day before totaling. Turn on the overtime toggle and any hours over 40 in the week are paid at 1.5 times your rate, with regular and overtime hours shown separately.
Is it free?
Yes, it is completely free with no sign up. It runs entirely in your browser, nothing you type is uploaded, and you can download the timesheet as a PDF at no cost.
