Word Cloud Generator, Free and No Watermark

Paste any text and this free word cloud generator counts how often each word appears, then draws the most common words biggest on a canvas you can download as a PNG.

Runs in your browser · nothing uploaded

Paste some text above, then the cloud appears here. No sign up, and nothing you paste is uploaded.

Drop in an article, a page of reviews, survey answers, or lecture notes, and the tool tallies word frequency after dropping common English filler words like the, and, or of. The words that show up most become the largest, so you get a quick tag cloud from text that shows what a body of writing is really about.

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you paste is uploaded, there is no sign up, and the word cloud PNG download has no watermark and no size cap on the image. Change the colors, font, or word count and redraw as many times as you like until the layout looks right.

How it works

  1. 1

    Paste your text

Drop in any block of writing. The tool lowercases everything, strips punctuation, removes a built-in English stop-word list, and counts what is left so common filler words do not crowd out the real terms.

  2. 2

    Pick your look

Choose how many words to show, a font, and one of four color palettes. Each word is sized by frequency and placed on a spiral outward from the center so bigger words sit in the middle.

  3. 3

    Download the PNG

Hit Redraw to reshuffle the layout, then Download PNG to save the image. There is no watermark, nothing is uploaded, and the file saves straight to your device.

Questions about making a word cloud

How do I make a word cloud online for free?
Paste your text into the box, pick a color palette and font, and the word cloud draws itself. Click Download PNG to save it. It is free, needs no account, and works entirely in your browser.
Does the word cloud PNG download have a watermark?
No. The image you download is a plain PNG with no watermark and no logo added, so you can use it in slides, reports, or posts as is.
Is my text uploaded anywhere when I build a tag cloud from text?
No. The word frequency counting and the drawing both happen in your browser using the canvas. Your text never leaves your device and nothing is stored.
How does the word frequency visualizer decide which words are biggest?
It counts how many times each word appears after removing common stop words like the, is, and of, then scales each word's size by its count. The most frequent word is the largest in the cloud.
Is it free?
Yes, completely free with no sign up, no limits on how many clouds you make, and no watermark on the PNG.
