Type a script above, then press Start to scroll it up the screen at a steady pace.

This is a teleprompter online in your browser. Type or paste a script, pick a words-per-minute pace, and press Start to auto-scroll the text upward at a constant speed. Adjust the speed slider and font size on the fly so the words arrive as fast as you actually read.

It works as a scrolling script reader for video, live streams, and talking-head clips. A mirror toggle flips the text horizontally or vertically for a physical teleprompter rig with a beam-splitter glass, and a fullscreen button gives you a large, high-contrast reading view. Your script is saved in this browser and nothing is uploaded.

How it works

  1. 1

    Paste your script

Type or paste the words you want to read into the box. The script is saved in your browser automatically, so it is still there when you come back.

  2. 2

    Set speed and size

Drag the speed slider to match your reading pace in words per minute, and set the font size so the text is easy to read from where you sit.

  3. 3

    Start and record

Press Start, or tap space, and the script scrolls up past the center line. Use Fullscreen for a big view, or the mirror toggle for a teleprompter rig, then record.

Questions about the online teleprompter

Is this a free online teleprompter with no sign up?
Yes. There is no account, no email, and no paywall. Open the page, paste your script, and start scrolling. Everything runs in your browser.
Do I need to install an app to use a teleprompter in my browser?
No. It is a teleprompter online that runs on the web page itself. It works in a normal desktop or laptop browser with no download or extension.
Can I use this as a mirror teleprompter on the web for a physical rig?
Yes. The mirror toggle flips the text horizontally or vertically using a CSS transform, so it reads correctly through the beam-splitter glass of a teleprompter mount over your camera.
Where does my script go, and is it private?
Your script stays in your browser and is saved to local storage on your device only. Nothing is uploaded to a server, so it stays private to you.
How do I set a good reading speed for video?
Start around 150 words per minute, which is close to natural speaking pace, then nudge the speed slider up or down while you rehearse until the words land where you read them.
Is it free?
Yes, it is completely free with no sign up and no limits on how long your script can be.
