Live preview

A good YouTube description does real work. The first two lines pull people in, timestamps let them jump around, and the links and hashtags help the video get found. Writing all of that from a blank box for every upload is a chore, and it is easy to forget a section.

This tool gives you the structure. Fill in each part, reuse your channel links and boilerplate from last time, and watch the description build in the preview with a live character count. It runs in your browser, and your saved links stay on your device.

How it works

    Pick a video type

Choose a template like tutorial, vlog or review to start with a sensible structure.

  2. 2

    Fill in the sections

Add your hook, description, timestamps, links and hashtags. Your channel links and boilerplate are remembered.

  3. 3

    Copy it to YouTube

Check the character count stays under the limit, then copy the whole description with one click.

Questions about the description generator

How long can a YouTube description be?
Up to 5000 characters. The live counter turns red if you go over, and it marks the fold line so you can see what shows before someone clicks more.
How do I add chapters?
Add timestamp rows starting at 00:00. YouTube turns them into clickable chapters when the first is 00:00 and there are at least three. The tool warns you if the first is missing.
Are my links and details saved?
Your reusable channel details, like links, hashtags and boilerplate, are kept in your browser on this device so you do not retype them. The per video text starts fresh each time.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The description is assembled in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere. There is no account and no sign up.
