What is OKLCH and why does it matter?
OKLCH is a modern color space where equal numeric steps look like equal visual steps. Building a palette in it means the colors stay balanced and the harmonies look right, instead of the uneven, sometimes muddy results you get from rotating hues in older HSL color models.
Why does the same name give the same colors?
The name is hashed into a starting hue, so the palette is deterministic. That is handy when you want a repeatable result. Press Regenerate to explore other harmonies built from the same name.
Are the palettes AI-generated?
No. Each palette is built mathematically in the OKLCH colour space from a hue derived from your name, so equal steps look evenly spaced and the harmony holds. That is more predictable and repeatable than an AI colour tool, and the same name always returns the same palette.
