Frequently asked questions

Which icon sizes do I get?
The full iOS and iPadOS set including the 1024 App Store icon, plus the Android launcher densities and the 512 Play Store icon. That covers what Xcode and Android Studio expect.
What size image should I upload?
A square 1024×1024 image is ideal. Anything smaller still works, but starting large keeps the big store icons crisp instead of soft.
Should my app icon be square or rounded?
Upload a square, full-bleed design. iOS and Android round the corners themselves at display time, so the files you ship stay square. The rounded and circle previews are just there to show how it will look.
My logo has a transparent background — what happens?
iOS icons should not be transparent, so turn on the fill option and pick a background color. Transparent edges then sit on a solid color instead of showing through.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Every icon is drawn in your browser and the ZIP is built there too. Your artwork never leaves your device.
