Frequently asked questions

What size is a US passport photo?
It is 2×2 inches, which is 600×600 pixels at 300 DPI. That preset is built in, along with UK and EU 35×45 mm, India 35×35 mm, Schengen and others.
Can I set a custom size?
Yes. Switch to custom and enter the width and height in millimetres at a DPI, or directly in pixels, and the photo exports at that exact size.
Does it change the background to white?
Not yet. It keeps your photo’s existing background for now, so shoot against a plain, light wall. Automatic background replacement is planned for a later update.
Will the photo be the right resolution to print?
Yes. Presets are sized at 300 DPI, the usual requirement for printed passport photos, so the exported image is ready to print at the listed dimensions.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Cropping and sizing happen entirely in your browser. Your photo never leaves your device.
