WhatsApp Link Generator
Make a wa.me link maker in seconds: enter your phone number and an optional message, and get a click to chat link people tap to open WhatsApp with the text ready.
A WhatsApp link generator turns your number into a wa.me link that opens a chat with you. Type the number in international form and, if you want, the first message, and the click to chat link updates as you type. Tap it and WhatsApp opens with the text already written, so the person only has to send. Put the whatsapp direct link in a bio, an email or a button, or use the QR code for a printed sign.
How it works
- 1
Enter your number
Type the phone number in full international form. Spaces, dashes and the plus sign are stripped for you.
- 2
Add a first message
Write the text you want pre-filled, or leave it blank for a plain chat link.
- 3
Copy or scan
Copy the wa.me link to paste anywhere, or download the QR code for a poster or card.
Instant & 100% private — nothing is uploaded
Everything runs locally in your browser. Your code, text and files are processed on your own device and are never sent to a server — so there are no upload waits, no size limits from us, and nothing is ever stored or logged.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need a WhatsApp Business account?
- No. A wa.me click to chat link works with any personal or business WhatsApp number. The account type does not matter for the link to open a chat.
- What number format should I use?
- Use the full international number with the country code, like 1 555 123 4567 for the US. Leave out the plus sign, leading zeros, brackets and spaces; the tool removes them anyway.
- Can I pre-fill a message?
- Yes. Anything you type in the message box is added to the link as pre-filled text. The person still taps send, so nothing is sent without them.
- Does the link cost anything or track scans?
- No. It is a plain wa.me URL that points straight at WhatsApp. There is no redirect in the middle, no fee and no scan counter.
