Remove Emojis from Text
Remove emojis and pictographs from text in one click — including skin-tone variants, flags and symbols — then tidy the spaces they leave behind. A free emoji remover that runs entirely in your browser.
This tool removes emojis from text, stripping out the full range of emoji and pictographic characters: faces, objects, symbols, flags built from regional-indicator letters, and the skin-tone and variation modifiers attached to them. Paste a caption, a chat log or a bio and get clean text back. Because emojis usually sit between words with a space on each side, an option tidies the leftover double spaces so the result reads properly. Everything happens on your device, so nothing you paste is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions
- Does it remove flags and skin-tone emojis?
- Yes. Flag emojis are built from pairs of regional-indicator letters, and skin tones are separate modifier characters attached to a base emoji; the tool removes both, along with the invisible joiners and variation selectors that hold compound emojis together. That means multi-part emojis come out fully rather than leaving fragments.
- Will it remove ordinary symbols like © or ™?
- It targets emoji and pictographic characters specifically, so common text symbols such as ©, ™ and basic punctuation are generally left alone. Some symbols exist in both a plain and an emoji form; the emoji presentation is removed while normal text stays put, which keeps your wording intact.
- Does removing emojis change the rest of my text?
- No. Only the emoji characters are removed. The surrounding words and punctuation are untouched, apart from the optional space tidy-up that closes the small gaps an emoji leaves between words. Turn that option off if you would rather keep the spacing exactly as it was.
